When I got the Inspiration to develop the gratitude concept, it never occurred to me that the need would be so enormous. Now I am excited to share the official news with you we have signed a book deal
– with Hay House and Balboa to release our book, Gratitude Keeper Tentatively Fall 2016-2017. The book and the website and media will carry the weight and brand of Hay House and Balboa.
So what about this book? This book is immensely powerful; it provides inspirational strategies for addressing our shared human tendency of thinking negative.
It includes special applications of gratitude, designed to assist your personal growth, to encourage you to live an authentic life of gratitude.
It is ideal for anyone who believes in the power of breath and recognizes that life is a journey.
It will assist you in creating a chronicle of positive vibrations, a prized family heirloom.
I have had the opportunity to present this concept to various meet-up groups, m/f, and it has been with excitement and awe! Now, to be backed by one of the world’s leading and most reputable publishing house is humbling and gratifying.
I am very positive that this is going to be a magnificent success, and I am honored to be on this journey.
This launch will be a success, and it is important that we keep the villages in Kenya carving those fabulous looking Gratitude boxes out of soapstone, and the people there are doing a fantastic job. Our current challenge is aligning the finances to produce the boxes, the daily cards, and the pens. This daily practice of gratitude keeper will indeed promote a positive outcome for individuals on all levels, spiritual, physical and emotional. If you believe that this project is in alignment with your beliefs, and you would like to provide support, then please send an email to drmaxinemclean@gmail.com
Special thanks to Michelle Cassidy, who introduced me Selbina Mwendwa. Selbina has been a valuable asset in assisting our connection with the people of Kenya. This project has developed into an excellent Win-Win situation because it will provide the people sustainable income, moreover assist in improving their quality of life and provide them with clean drinking water.
A moving experience of Gratitude

A moving experience of Gratitude

A female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spiderweb of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat.
She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso and a line tugging in her mouth.
A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farallon Islands (outside the Golden Gate ) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.
When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed them gently around as she was thanking them.
Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives. The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth said her eyes were following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
May you, and all those you love, be so blessed and fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude.
Gratitude Keeper made a difference

Gratitude Keeper made a difference

It was wonderful to provide the street-children with food supplies over the holidays. Because in a small village in Kenya.
There are street kids as young as 7 years old. They are picked up from lingering on the streets, either due to domestic issues or no place to call home.
When taken in by their local rehabilitation center, I’m told, that although food rations are occasionally provided by the city municipal government, they are not regular. Consequently these children encounter a very difficult time in search for food.
It’s emotionally devastating to know that in some parts of the world food is freely available and squandered, and in other parts the need is so great. So, it warms my heart to know that we have made a good difference in their lives.
Concerned citizens in view of this food challenge are working to setup a food bank, which will continue to support this area of need. The hope and plan is to keep these children eating for more than just a day or a week and in essence spark within them a vision of hope and light.
